What is Equal highs / lows
Two or three extremes at almost the same price. They look like solid support or resistance, so stops pile up behind them.
How it works
BTC 15m, 05.05.2026: two near-equal highs.
Example
Highs at 81 712 and 81 770 — 58 $ apart. Short sellers' stops and breakout orders sit above them.
Common mistake
Treating equal lows as rock-solid support: more often they are a target, not a floor.
