What is Partial close
Closing part of the position before the final target. It reduces the spread of outcomes — and the trade's average R.
How it works
Example
Half closed at +1R, the rest reached +2.4R: result (1 + 2.4) ÷ 2 = +1.7R instead of +2.4R.
Common mistake
Taking a piece on every green tick: the profitable tail the model lives on never arrives.
