What is Perpetual futures
A futures contract with no expiry: you can hold it as long as you like, and funding keeps its price near spot. It allows shorting and leverage.
How it works
Example
BTCUSDT on Binance Futures is a perpetual: 1 contract = 1 BTC, settled in USDT, funding every 8 hours.
Common mistake
Thinking futures need a big account: size is set by risk, not by balance.
