1. Step 1 · Sweep

   Sweep: price takes the highs and closes back inside the range.

   BTC 15m, May 5, 2026: at 21:00 price swept the 81 770 highs to 81 791 and closed back below at 81 592. Stops gone, price back in the range.

2. Step 2 · Breakout

   Breakout: price closes and holds beyond the level.

   ETH 1h: 65 hours inside 1 585.5–1 602.7. At 23:00 price closed below, at 1 580.7, and never got back into the range.

3. Step 3 · Retest

   On the retest, old support turned into resistance.

   At 01:00 price came back to 1 585.5: the candle's high reached 1 588.2, and it didn't close above. Price then dropped to 1 564.3.

   Up is the mirror: level 1 838, retest to 1 837, and a close above.
