Trading OS

Your journal in Claude and ChatGPT

Connect Trading OS to an assistant and ask in plain words: where you lose the most, what tilt cost you this month. The answer is calculated from your trades with the same formulas as the journal. The assistant only reads.

Updated: October 1, 2026

What it is

The connector is a server URL you paste into Claude or ChatGPT. After you sign in to Trading OS and click Allow, the assistant gets read access to the journal: period totals, trade list and details, cost of mistakes, breakdowns by day, hour, symbol and setup, rules and rule breaks, execution costs.

How to connect in three steps

Server URL: https://trading-os.xyz/api/mcp

1. Claude (web and desktop app): Customize → Connectors → “+” → Add custom connector. Paste the URL, leave Advanced settings alone — no Client ID or Secret needed. Click Connect, sign in to Trading OS and click Allow.

2. ChatGPT (web): Settings → Security and login → turn on Developer mode. In Plugins click “+” and create an app: the server URL, authentication — OAuth. Developer mode is available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu.

3. Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http trading-os https://trading-os.xyz/api/mcp in a terminal, then /mcp → Authenticate.

Five questions to start with

1. Where do I lose the most money and R?

2. How much did tilt cost me over the last month?

3. What time of day do I trade worst?

4. Which setup earns me the most R, and which drags me down?

5. How many trades this month did I enter against my own rules, and how did they end?

What the assistant cannot do

Access is read-only and can be revoked at any time in account settings.

  • Create, edit or delete trades: every connector tool is read-only.
  • See exchange keys or passwords: they are never passed to it.
  • Trade or withdraw funds: Trading OS has no such function.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe?

Sign-in goes through OAuth: you sign in to Trading OS yourself and click Allow, and your password is never handed to the assistant. Access is limited to reading the journal and can be revoked in settings.

How much does the connector cost?

Trading OS does not charge separately for the connector. Terms of Claude or ChatGPT themselves (for example Developer mode) are on their side.

Do I need an account?

Yes: the assistant reads your account's journal. Without an account you can look at the demo.

What exactly does the assistant see?

Period totals, trades and their details, cost of mistakes, breakdowns by time and setup, rules and rule breaks, execution costs. Exchange keys, passwords and payment data are not part of that set.

How do I disconnect the assistant?

Open AI access in Trading OS settings and disconnect it — the token stops working immediately.
