What is Close confirmation
The rule: a level counts as broken only when a candle body closes beyond it. A wick beyond it is a spike, not a break.
How it works
ETH 1h, 08.05.2023: a wick above the LH with no close — no reversal, the trend continued.
Example
The last lower high is 1 869.6. The 13:00 candle pierced it with a wick to 1 874.0 and closed at 1 858.9 — below it: no CHoCH up. At 17:00 a close at 1 826.8, below 1 835.0 — a BOS down.
Common mistake
Entering mid-candle "before it closes": many of those closes end up reversing.
