What is Timeframe
The length of one candle on the chart: 15m is 15 minutes, 1h an hour, 4h four hours. The same market looks different on different timeframes.
How it works
Example
One 4h candle = 16 candles of 15m. The stop behind the sweep on 4h in February 2024 was 2.6× wider than on 15m in September — at the same risk the position is 2.6× smaller.
Common mistake
Hunting entries on 1m without checking 4h: a small signal against the bigger structure breaks more often.
