What is HH / HL / LH / LL
Shorthand for structure: HH and HL are highs and lows above the previous ones (up), LH and LL below (down). A change in the sequence is the first sign of a turn.
How it works
BTC 4h: after a run of HH/HL, a close below the last HL.
Example
The last higher low (HL) is 68 010. The 21.10 close below it broke the HH/HL sequence.
Common mistake
Marking structure by eye and after the fact — mark swings on closed candles.
